“At the Gym” Resistance Training: Total body workout combining resistance training using free weights, bands, balls, strengthening and flexibility exercises. You can train at your own pace and weight level. For everyone – any age and body type. Build muscle, get strong, stay healthy.
Ballet: Designed to expose the student to the grace and beauty of classical dance. Emphasis on the basic positions of the feet and arms as they relate to proper body alignment. Ballet training gives a dance the strength and the control to execute any style of dance well.
Capoeira: Created by African slaves in Brazil, Capoeira combines martial arts with dance. Capoeira is full of twisted gymnastic type movements set to rhythmic beats.
Jazz: Explore many styles and techniques including traditional & contemporary jazz, Fosse, Broadway, Vegas and more using jazz, soul, R & B, ethnic and pop music.
Hip Hop: With the integration of R & B, street jazz and different styles of of hip hop, this class is a fun, positive and energetic experience that is geared towards the experienced mover/dancer, hip hop novice, or anyone who just wants to move!
Modern: Contemporary style of dance incorporating free movements of the body. Warm-up consists of exercises to stretch and tone muscles developing support for proper stress-free alignment of the skeletal structure. Includes floor and center work, combinations & progressions across the floor with an emphasis on stretching techniques for greater flexibility.
Pilates Mat: A contemporary form of Pilates concentrating on developing core strength and stability, and increasing body awareness. Learn proper body alignment, proper posture, which muscles are working and how they work. Pilates develops long lean musculature, concentrating on strengthening muscles as they lengthen.
Tap: Style of American of theatrical dance, distinguished by percussive footwork, that marks out precise rhythmic patterns on the floor.
ZUMBA®: Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program in an exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba®!
ZUMBA® Toning:This program takes the original Zumba® dance-fitness class to the next level with the addition of lightweight toning sticks or dumbbells. This combination of cardio and dynamic resistive exercises is an effective use of progressive lightweight training to improve overall performance. Zumba® Toning is exhilarating, different, challenging and effective.
Hatha Yoga: A 75 minute class with a particular focus on balancing and building flexibility and strength via an emphasis on alignment, the breath, and attention to detail; allowing the body to receive, grow in flexibility, and move more deeply into the postures. Utilization of props and modification of postures, as is necessary.
Bellydance: Learn to experience the popular and beautifully mysterious dances of the near east. Low impact, safe, and genuinely supportive instruction. No previous dance experience required.
Beginner’s Level 1 Basics of Bellydance Technique: Basic beginning bellydance technique and dance combinations to build your bellydance vocabulary. Learn every shimmy in the book! Please bring towel, water and get ready to sweat, laugh and learn in a relaxed and lighthearted atmosphere!
Beginner Bellydance Choreography: Continuation and polishing of choreography plus a new 1:49 Drum Solo Choreography. Familiarity of basic belly dance moves needed. Choreography and drills accelerate your coordination and execution of belly dance moves. Performance opportunities!

Class Descriptions (Children):
Creative Movement ( 4 yrs)
Young children explore dance through guided improvisations increasing rhythm and social skills using basic dance techniques. Fundamental positions and steps of ballet, modern and jazz are introduced in a creative manner. 45min.
Creative Drama (4-6 yrs)
Explore the aspects of performing through drama games and exercises using music, stories, costumes, and props. 45min.
Pre-Ballet/Tap I (5 yrs) / Pre-Ballet/Tap II,III (6 yrs)
A fun and imaginative combination of simple ballet and tap steps to encourage rhythm, flexibility and increase dance vocabulary. This class is designed to inspire young dancers to express themselves through movement. Emphasis is on learning fundamental positions and steps of ballet and tap. 60min.
Ballet Levels A & B (7-8yrs)
Serious ballet training begins at this age. Students are exposed to the discipline and beauty of the art form. 60min.
Ballet Levels C & D (9 yrs-up)
For the older child entering their dance training (or younger child with at least 2 years of ballet). Designed to increase understanding of the mechanics of the body relating to classical dance. Two to three classes per week required. 60/90min.
JAZZ for Children/Teens (5 yrs-up)
These classes are designed to help children develop confidence, muscle strength, coordination, musicality and self-expression. Explore many styles and techniques including traditional & contemporary Jazz, Fosse, and Broadway dance. 60/90min.
Hip-Hop for Children/Teens (5 yrs-up)
A 1 hr. class focusing on the popular, urban, youth culture style of dance (originating on the street), providing a funkier edge to the basic styles of dance.
Tap for Children/Teens (7 yrs-up)
Style of American theatrical dance, distinguished by percussive footwork, that marks out precise rhythmic patterns on the floor. Young students learn fundamental tap technique to enhance rhythm and motor skills.

Levels are provided as a guide; students showing greater ability may be moved up at the discretion of the instructor.
