CoffeeMill Dance Studio's Child/Teen Classes follow the Monroe County School District’s holiday calendar.
Unless otherwise noted, we WILL have dance classes on early dismissal days!

All adult classes are ongoing unless noted.

MARCH 2026

• Saturday, March 7 - An “An Evening of Dance” - The CoffeeMill Young Dance Collective’s benefit concert at the Key West High School Theater. Monroe County’s only pre-professional, student dance company will perform an evening of dance featuring excerpts from the ballets La Bayadere and Naiad and the Fisherman plus other original works. Sponsored in part by Merging Ideas Developing Arts (MIDA) and the CoffeeMill Dance Studio.

• Friday, March 13 - Professional Day - We WILL have all children's classes as usual

• Monday, March 16 - Saturday, March 21 - Spring Break - No Children’s Classes - There WILL be CYDC maintenance classes and rehearsals.

• Friday, March 27-Sunday, March 29  - RADIX Dance Convention in Orlando, Florida - CYDC Dancers will be attending!

 

APRIL 2026

MAY 2026

• PLEASE SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT DanceWorks 23! Saturday, May 16 & Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the Tennessee Williams Theatre! The CoffeeMill Dance Studio Celebrates 43 years of dance in Key West and proudly presents our Annual Spring Dance Concert featuring an adaptation of Aladdin PLUS other works at the Tennessee Williams Theatre! This annual dance concert brings together the best original works produced by students, faculty, and professional dancers as they collaborate on an astounding celebration of many styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, modern, hiphop, tap, jazz, lyrical, Latin dance, Afro Caribbean dance, belly dance and much more! Treat your family to some great LIVE homegrown dance! All registered students are invited to be involved!

• Monday, June 8 - Summer 2026 Child/Teen Dance Semester  Starts! Join us for  ongoing recreational classes, weekly Dance Intensive Trainings, Mini Dance Camps and Key West Modern Dance Workshop

 

JULY 2026

• Saturday, July 4 - No Children's Classes

• Saturday, July 25 - Summer 2026 Child/Teen Dance Semester Ends!

• Monday, July 27-Saturday, August 1 - CoffeeMill Young Dance Collective (CYDC) AUDITIONS & PLACEMENT Week. For dancers ages 7yrs & up. Join our pre-professional Student Dance Company and Competition Team!

AUGUST 2026

• Saturday, July 26 - Summer 2025 Child/Teen Dance Semester Ends!

• Monday, August 3-Saturday, August 8 - Key West Modern Dance Intensive 2026 at By the Bay Studio - Join us for a unique study experience with extraordinary faculty from major American dance companies. KWMD is a one week modern dance intensive for a total of 18 technique, repertory and composition classes. All classes are mixed level and open to students 10yrs & up. ALL DANCERS WITHIN THIS AGE GROUP ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND regardless of dance experience! These classes are mandatory for current & prospective CYDC members. Any student who is younger and would like to attend or if you have any other questions please contact Ms. Penny at 305-393-3001. Performance opportunities and film documentaries viewing included. • Saturday, August 8 - 5:30p - Key West Modern Dance students present a FREE Showing of their work, and documentary viewing at the Williams Hall!

• Monday, August 10 - Fall 2026 Child/Teen Dance Semester Starts!

• Monday, September 7 - Labor Day - No Children's Classes

• Monday, October 12 - Columbus Day/Professional Day - We WILL have all Children's Classes as usual

• Sunday, October 25 - Fantasy Fest Children's Day Booth at Bayview Park - 12:00p-5:00p - CoffeeMill Young Dance Collective (CYDC) Fundraiser

• Sunday, October 25 - Fantasy Fest Children's Day at Bayview Park - Time TBA - CYDC Performance

• Monday, October 26-Saturday, October 31 - Wear your favorite Halloween Costume to your class this week!

• Wednesday, November 11 - Veterans Day - We WILL have all Children’s Classes as usual.

• Monday, November 23-Saturday, November 28 - Thanksgiving Break - No Children’s Classes

• Saturday, December 15-Saturday, December 20 - Holiday Open House Week - Parents and families are invited into the classroom and are highly encouraged to attend!

• Saturday, December 19 - Last day of Fall 2026 Child/Teen Dance Semester.

• Monday, December 21-Monday, January 4- Winter Break - No Children’s Classes
