A Fun Summer Musical Theater Camp for Children at the Waterfront Playhouse June 22-July 17. Kids ages 4-14

This exciting 4-week summer program emphasizes building student's confidence as they engage in all the components of musical theatre-ACTING, SINGING, & DANCING. Students will learn the basic techniques of voice and movement for the stage and become part of a real production, from conception to performance.

Kid's Class Descriptions

Creative Movement I (4 yrs)  
Young children explore dance through guided improvisations increasing rhythm and social skills using basic dance techniques. Fundamental positions and steps of ballet,modern and jazz are introduced in a creative manner. 30/45min.

Creative Drama (4-6 yrs)
Explore the aspects of performing through drama games and exerciss using music, stories, costumers, and props. 45min.

Pre-Ballet I (5 yrs) / Pre-Ballet II (6 yrs)
A fun and imaginative combination of simple ballet steps to encourage thythm, flexibility and increase dance vocabulary. This class is designed to inspire young dancers to express themselves through movement. Emphasis is on learning fundamental positions and steps of ballet. 45min.

Ballet Level A (7 yrs-up)
Serious ballet training begins at this age. Students are exposed to the discipline and beauty of the art form. 60min.

Ballet Levels B & C (9 yrs-up)
For the older child entering their dance training (or younger child with at least 2 years of ballet). Designed to increase understanding of the mechanics of the body relating to classical dance. 60/90min.

JAZZ  for Children/Teens (5 yrs-up)
These classes are designed to help children develop confidence, muscle strength, coordination, musicality and self-expression. 60min.

New Classes in Hip Hop and Tap forming now for all ages and levels.
